I installed photoplog lite on my forum. Installation 100% ok, everything is at his place........but (like always, because whatever i install it seems to never work for me grrrrr) no changes. I set the photoplog mod on "on"... nothing appears on my forums. I set the persmissions for users too, create a test category etc... nothing to do, nothing appears, not even a little menu....

I use 3.6.5 version of vbulletin, and i followed the manual in the archive for the installation.
And i installed too the french traduction (cause im french)

I think the problem can come from a field where i don't know what to put: "photoplog link"... it can be the only reason why it's not working, if no, i don't understand.

So what adress should i put here, i didn't understand.
I don't have a website, it's just a forum, so the adress of thewebsite is also the adress of the forum, and is build liek that : http://www.blablablabla.com/index.php or http://www.blablablabla.com/ (you arrive on the website with both and "blabla" is just an example of course)

anyone can help me? thx

The PhotoPlog Link setting is the URL to the gallery. Example: http: //www.domain.com/photoplog

If you want a link on the vB navbar, check post two in the release thread on vBorg. If you want to view the gallery, go to http: //www.domain.com/photoplog/index.php with your browser.

Content visible to registered users only.Thx for the answer. But it's not working, i already tried that way.

i put the link exactly as you wrote it but nothing change.

And i don't know either what to fill to the next line, about images

In fact, i'de like to know if this mod does what i want to do (because im not even sure lol)

Is there any mod/hack that allow me to do that:

Add photos/photos gallery in member's profile (it's has to be in the profile)
With the possibility to set a title, for other members to comment them, and for the user to delete comments if they want
Admin right to check photos, accept them or no, check the comments etc...
+ put a photo gallery with avatar or main picture of their profile between nav bar and the forum (random or sliding) and when you click on the photo, you arrive on the member's photo profile

Not exactly...

Example One: http://www.YOUR_DOMAIN.com/photoplog
Example Two: http://www.YOUR_DOMAIN.com/forum/photoplog
i.e., it's the link to wherever you put the gallery with no ending slash

As for the other questions, please try the online demo to see if it fits with what you seek.

Your website isn't blablablabla.com so if you want to provide the real link I can take a quick peek, but given that other people don't have this problem, it almost has to be something done on install. What I cannot say without a look.

Where did you install PhotoPlog? I've tried the following links, only to get 'not found' or redirected elsewhere.

http://www.lovestoriz.com/photoplog/
http://www.lovestoriz.com/gallery/
http://www.lovestoriz.com/galerie/
http://www.lovestoriz.com/photoplog/index.php
http://www.lovestoriz.com/gallery/index.php
http://www.lovestoriz.com/galerie/index.php

Also, whatever you have that is rewriting your links doesn't seem to understand/detect directory requests.

but it's installed....

and i have a seo software that is rewriting. But i only installed it yesterday so it can't be the problem because photoplog wasn't working before to install this seo software

now its working
http://www.lovestoriz.com/photoplog/
but you havent set the forumpath in the gallery config.php!
write:
[code]/home/www/04ea27797881fc94fc02f82fc06ae69d/web/[code]
instead of /var/www/forum placeholder

could it be a problem in my config.php file??

i put that as infos, is that right?:

// set the full path to your main forum directory: if you are not sure of
// the full path, look in your vB config file for $config['Misc']['http://lovestoriz.com/']
// and see if there is a value present - if not, ask your host about it or
// try the getcwd function: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.getcwd.php

define('PHOTOPLOG_FWD','http://lovestoriz.com/');

Morgan

Yep, now that you can get to the gallery, ragtek is spot on. You need to set the correct path in the PhotoPlog config file that is located in the /photoplog directory on your server:
Content visible to registered users only.

If /home/www/04ea27797881fc94fc02f82fc06ae69d/web is not the full server path to the forum directory, send an email to your host and ask for the full server path to the forum directory, and try that in the PhotoPlog config file.

Thx for the help but i gave up the idea to install it (and buy the pro version) if it's that complicated to install and configure i prefer to save my money for another photo mod that would be a little more easy to use

I had the same problem and as soon as the full path was correct it all came right. Works like a bomb thanks, and that is after a server move too.
