Not sure what that is supposed to mean. As of the date of this post, the most recent pro release was in September, i.e., last month. Just like with any other person, I have other obligations and couldn't possibly code on the same script every single day without achieving burnout, so please let me have a real life too. The next version has quite a number of code changes so it is going to take time regardless.

Just because I don't update those posts on a regular basis doesn't mean that I am not doing anything. I suppose I could spend more time updating those posts with comments than working on the next version.

Not until after vB 3.7 goes gold at the earliest, and probably some time after that to make sure everything works correctly.

While I'm glad that you are looking forward to the next release, allowing more than image media files is requiring a major rewrite, and I've posted that several times now. PhotoPlog currently only allows GIF, JPG, and PNG uploads and does multiple checks to ensure that only GIFs, JPGs, and PNGs are permitted to pass the checks. Changing the code requires more that simply adding new features; it requires a fundamental change in how PhotoPlog works, and it is not something that is going to be rushed just to put out a new release. There are a lot of considerations to take into account, and when the new version is ready, it will be released.

thanks for your answer morgan. But i wish to hear you are working on new version... You closed new version request. Bu i want to ask you could you add tag system and group option like flickr?

Morgan

The thread was closed in order to work on the already requested items, and tag requests might be in that thread, but if not, tags has been requested a number of times, so the next version will have a tag option. As to work on the next version, it continues but it is going to take some time, as a lot of things need a rewrite in order to incorporate the changes.

Hey guys, if you have never done programming before rest assured that it isn't a quick process and can be very frustrating at times, whilst i understand the excitement in this great product, asking Morgan when a new version is coming out is not going to speed things up. Have some patience and i am sure he will release it when its ready.

Thanks
Matt

Pro v.2.1.4.8 was released on 05-09-2008 and, as previously stated, the next version is going take some time, as it requires a major rewrite.
