Hi,

I Have 3 questions before buying.

My website is currently running the vBadvanced CMPS. Will PhotoPlog Pro work with CMPS without any issues?

2nd,
Does the script support multilanguage?
My website is in polish and I want to make sure that all the phrases can be translated (including the flash XClose button)

I would also like to enable the gallery only for profile views, in another words create a member gallery available only by looking into a member's profile.
Can PhotoPlog Pro be customized that way?

Thanks,

Morgan

Hi, you can display a random selection of thumbnails from PhotoPlog on the vBa portal page. There is a folder in the pro ZIP with instructions. For translations, there is another ZIP here (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338), accessible after purchase, that you can use for translating PhotoPlog phrases. The Flash that you see is really Lightbox JavaScript, with its own images, so you'd need to make new images with Polish language on them. With a small template edit, random thumbnails from PhotoPlog appear on the profile page. See here (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/member.php?u=1) for an example. However, there is nothing set to force the use of the gallery through the profile page. PhotoPlog is like a separate script, though it requires vBulletin, so the best that can be done 'out of the box' is to show a random selection of thumbnails on the profile page.

Thank you for your reply.

I'm almost ready to purchase the script.
My last question would be, how does the script compare to photopost?

I like the design and layout of photoplog, but I was just wondering how the two compare (besides customer support of course, 'cause that's why I'm here :) )

Thanks again,

cMax

To answer, in part, I'll point you to a couple of other threads:

Also, PhotoPlog currently allows only GIF, JPG, PNG images via use of the GD library. If ImageMagick or full multimedia support is important to you, then PhotoPlog probably isn't the gallery for you.

On the other hand, PhotoPlog IMO has better custom field support, there is the lite version on vBorg for those that want to check it out, and these (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/showpost.php?p=7851&postcount=1) features are in the works for the next release.

Content visible to registered users only.

There is also the 'userstrip' mod, in the Pro Hacks and Modifications directory in this thread (http://www.photoplog.com/forum/showthread.php?t=490), which provides a filmstrip you can cycle through to see all of a users pictures on their profile page. Here is a screenshot of an example profile page (http://www.photoplog.com/demo/pro/index.php?n=90). It's packaged as a vBulletin "product", so it installs easily, doesn't modify ot touch any of the existing PhtoPlog install, and is "upgrade safe" (as much as anything can be in vb!).
