1: Yes, you can rename the PhotoPlog directory without messing up anything.
2: No, you do not need to start over. Pro comes with upgrade instructions. If you do upgrade from lite to pro, do not uninstall lite, just upgrade to pro. If you accidentally uninstall lite, then you would ruin the gallery.
