Default PhotoPlog Pro v. Released

PhotoPlog Pro v. Released

New Requirements
  • vBulletin 3.6.0+
  • PHP 4.3.3+
  • MySQL 4.0.16+ (The MySQL 4.1.0+ requirement is no more !!!)
  • PHP with GD2
  • Safe Mode Off
New Features
  • A whole lot of Highslide integration
  • Some other miscellaneous changes
    • Addition of *_slave query usage
    • Turn off filmstrip via ACP setting
    • And other similar-type code edits
Changed Files
  • Nearly every PhotoPlog PHP file
Changed Templates
  • Several templates changed, and most all of the changes occurred near the HTML for the thumbnails:
    • photoplog_album_view_bit
    • photoplog_block_bit
    • photoplog_cat_bit
    • photoplog_comment_form
    • photoplog_delete_form
    • photoplog_edit_form
    • photoplog_file_bit
    • photoplog_film_frame
    • photoplog_minithumb_pics
    • photoplog_slideshow_page
    • photoplog_thumb_pics
    • photoplog_user_bit
    • photoplog_view_file
  • If you have changed any of these templates and want Highslide integration, you'll need to revert the template. If you have not changed any one of these templates, the product import will upgrade it for you automatically.
New Phrases
  • At last count there were at least fifty new phrases, mostly back-end phrases. This list is the front-end phrases:
    • photoplog_highslide_click_and_drag_to_move
    • photoplog_highslide_click_for_larger_version
    • photoplog_highslide_close
    • photoplog_highslide_next_right_arrow_key
    • photoplog_highslide_previous_left_arrow_key
    • photoplog_highslide_expand_to_actual_size
    • photoplog_highslide_click_to_close_image
    • photoplog_highslide_click_to_bring_to_front
    • photoplog_highslide_loading
    • photoplog_highslide_click_to_cancel
    • photoplog_highslide_move
  • See this thread for language packs
How-to Upgrade (from Pro v.
  • FTP all PhotoPlog non-image files in ASCII mode EXCEPT the PhotoPlog config.php and photoplog_prefix.php files
  • FTP all of the contents of the new Highslide directory, making sure to keep the same directory structure as in the PhotoPlog package (CUR, GIF, and PNG files in BINARY mode, the rest in ASCII mode)
  • If you installed this modification, uninstall it and MAKE SURE THAT YOU uninstall the correct thing (do NOT uninstall the gallery itself or you will ruin your gallery)
  • Re-import the PhotoPlog product XML file (do NOT uninstall, do allow overwrite)
  • If you show gallery thumbnails on the vB memberlist, redo the vB memberlist_resultsbit template edit
  • See the main README.txt file in the ZIP package for further details

Please use the forums for support, feature requests, and similar such things. Support does not include custom code, custom template edits, or third-party modifications. PMs and emails to me should be for private information only, such as login information. If you PM or email me a support question, chances are good that I'll ignore it. Thanks.
While the work or play is on, it is a lot of fun if while you are doing one you don't constantly feel that you ought to be doing the other. -- Franklin Pierce Adams
